My Diet Philosophy (+What I Eat in a Day!)

My diet philosophy is simple. No gimmicks, no restrictions, no food shaming.

1. Balance: I try to include a protein, fat, and carbohydrate at all of my meals and snacks.

  • Carbohydrates are your brain and cell energy

  • Fats help with vitamin absorption and provide back up energy

  • Protein helps build and repair muscle tissue

2. Variety: I try to choose a variety of fruits, vegetables, and I try to make half of my grains whole grains.

3. Moderation: Instead of focusing on what foods you CAN'T have (or SHOULDN'T have), focus on the positive! Set goals on trying a new fruit or vegetable a week, trying a vegetable that you dislike in a new preparation. find a new, fun way to get your 10,000 steps in for the day.

Until next time,
